On 24 September, Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou agreed to a deferred prosecution agreement with the US Department of Justice. The agreement, which involved Meng pleading guilty on charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, brought an end to extradition proceedings from Canada to the US for the telecoms executive.
